"Glimpses" - A Miniature Landscape Painting

"Glimpses"     2" x 2"     Acrylic on Canvas
SOLD

I caught this glimpse of a beautiful sunset as we were driving home one day along the old winding river road that leads to 12. It was stunning and just begged to be painted. But don't be fooled. This is on a really tiny canvas! Here it is in my hand...

See! I told you so... Lol! Hope you have a great day today! It's off to bed for me (YAY - It's only 1:30am - WAY more normal than some of these nights lately!). Haha, God bless!

  1. I love that you showed us exactly how small this little gem is! I honestly would have thought it was larger.

    1. Thank you! I kept getting responses of confusion at the sizing, so I figured I'd show it in perspective to help out a bit. I think it worked! Lol! =)

  3. Melissa, You didn't tell me when you commented on my blog that you were also in the 30 Day challenge. I am impressed that you have time with a young family...good for you. Where are you from?

    1. Haha, sorry about that! I figured so many people were in on it that it wouldn't really matter, but it is fun knowing that you're doing something along with someone else, huh? And thanks! I really only paint after the babies are in bed, so from like 9pm to 1am. Not the best schedule, but I'm not a morning person and it works... I'm from the Bay Area in California, in a little town called Antioch. Well, I'm not so sure it's little anymore, but at one time it was... We live about an hour in from San Francisco. =0) How about you? And how are you holding up in the challenge lately?

  4. Melissa, Thank you for your comment on my painting! Yes, meeting new artists has been one of the GREAT kicks from our 30 in 30 adventure!

Going through your blog has also been an adventure! I am intruiged by your use of glass beads.... I bought some when they first showed up at Daniel Smith.... but have used them rarely. I may need to unleash some magical paintings...

The iddy biddy paintings are also most interesting. Then when I red your profile I decided for you, they are wisdom.... make that a capital "W"... Wisdom! That a mother of 2 can summon the energy to paint is miraculous!

Best wishes! I see success getting into galleries and selling in your near future.
