"Broken Hearted" - Tangle #02

"Broken Hearted"  - Tangle #02     2.75" x 2.75"     Ink and Graphite on Illustration Board
Already I'm starting to get the hang of this Zentangle® thing. On Day #01, I noticed that I made FAR too many teeny, tiny spaces with all my lines, which, had I been working on a larger scale, would have made for an absolutely fantastic and interesting piece. However, when it's the size of a mere ACEO, yeah, not so much... So for Tangle #02 I decided to create larger spaces to work within, to allow myself enough area to really get in there and create some fabulous patterns and you know what? I liked it - A LOT! It was so much more fun this way to create each individual space, as they each really had the chance to be able to get developed instead of just barely getting started before having to move on to a new beat because the lines had already changed. So I guess I already learned something new, and it's only just the beginning... I can't wait to see where this takes me in the future!

  1. I am so blown away by these drawings! To me, they are so much more than a "zentangle". That term seems to imply a doodle type of work, but your pieces are far beyond that. Your creations are artwork of the most original, creative, and artistic level of fine art. They're gorgeous.

    1. Katherine, are you kidding me?! I keep rubbing my eyes and checking and re-checking just to see if this comment is really from YOU! I mean - YOU! Queen of the Colored Pencils and Drawn Art YOU! I even pulled my husband over in disbelief, and showed him your comment, then your website (he knows it well because I've shared it with him many a time before in absolute disbelief over how amazing your art is) and we were both awed that you wrote such a sweet comment on here. Thank you so much, Katherine, you have no idea how much you made my day - or rather my YEAR! Lol! =0) Thank you!!!

    1. Thank you so much Bekah! And thanks for sharing one of the pages with me - it's phenomenal! I can't imagine making one so huge, but now I feel a MAJOR challenge coming on for a VERY RAINY DAY (or perhaps week - that looked like it took a REALLY long time to create, but oh man, was it gorgeous!!!). Thank you so much for sharing, and for your sweet compliment and delicious food - we're still enjoying it over here! =0)
